A paper describing the StatDCAT Application Profile (StatDCAT-AP) was selected as one of the best two papers at the 4th International Workshop on Semantic Statistics in Japan.
The European Commission has published the results of the open public consultation on the revision of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF). Respondents from 27 countries sent a total of 179 contributions. The Commission will further analyse the results and take them into account when determining the type of instrument to propose.

Last week, the European Parliament adopted a regulation that represents a big step forward in cutting red tape for citizens in the EU. The new rules, binding on all EU countries, will abolish the current requirement to have an authenticity stamp (known as an apostille) on public documents (such as birth or marriage certificates) issued in one EU country before presenting them to a public authority in another EU country.

On 19 April, the College of Commissioners of the European Commission adopted the first work programme under the new ISA² programme. The EUR 131 million programme, which runs from 2016 to 2020, supports the development of interoperability solutions for the modernisation of public administrations across Europe.
More than 200 professionals are expected to take part in this year’s conference, which is the most visible and established event for public sector semantic and information interoperability in Europe.
