CAP Communication Awards

Communication projects from Ireland, Poland, Romania and Hungary emerged as the main winners from the CAP@50 Communication Awards ceremony in Brussels this week, although all 12 of the nominated projects were given particular praise by the independent panel of judges which drafted the short-list for nominations.

Separating projects into 4 categories of communication on Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) issues - targeting stakeholders, to the general public, EU-funded programmes, and projects using highly innovative communication methods – the ceremony saw a short presentation of each programme and then a vote among the 350 delegates, comprising agriculture journalists and stakeholders from all over the EU.

Speaking after the ceremony, at which he presented certificates to all 12 projects, Commissioner Dacian Cioloș said: “There are many different excellent projects going on around the EU highlighting the benefits of agriculture and of the CAP. This competition provided a great example of the diversity of such projects, and certainly all of the nominated projects are winners.  I felt inspired and energized by all the excellent ideas and impressive mobilisation in favour of a common policy we all believe in”.

Details about all of the different projects can be found under “WINNERS”
