Conclusions of the Conference - The European Commission invited media stakeholders of the Western Balkans countries and Turkey to a seminar on the audiovisual media services directive and the digitalization of television, which took place in Istanbul on 1 and 2 December 2008.
- Within the framework of the French Presidency of the European Union, the Ministry for Culture and Communication had organized a seminar about " Creative content on-line " which took place in Paris, in the museum of the quai Branly, on September 18th and 19th, 2008. The seminar was organized around two central themes: "Towards what economy of on-line creative contents are we headed?" and "How to promote legal offers of content and fight against piracy?".

The main purpose of the conference “Content Online for Creativity” is to explore added-value actions that could be taken at European level to improve the competitiveness of the European online content production and distribution industry while enhancing both cultural diversity and Europe's cultural industries. - High-Level Seminar on Audiovisual Content Online organised by the Portuguese Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers
