Eurostat has launched a new section on its website dedicated to Harmonised European Time Use Surveys (HETUS).

The Harmonised European Time Use Surveys are national surveys conducted in European countries. They measure how much time people spend on various activities, such as paid work, household chores and family care, personal care, voluntary work, social life, travel and leisure.

Time-use statistics help you to reply to questions such as “How much time do we spend shopping?” or “How much time do Europeans spend in front of their screens?”

In this new section, as well as data you can find background information, concepts and definitions, statistics, publications, links to national time use surveys (TUS) and other useful information.
