Welcome to Eurostat's special data and fact-checking corner for the European elections, serving journalists and fact checkers, who can ask questions about data and statistics on the European Union using a dedicated functional mailbox.
For a limited time period before and after the 2024 EU elections between 10 May and 15 June 2024, Eurostat provides a dedicated media support to help prioritising requests related to the elections. The service is available from 8:00 to 17:00 CET on working days of the European Commission in Luxembourg and also on public holidays in this period.
With this service, Eurostat aims to provide responses in 1 hour to journalists and fact checkers when the requested data are available in Eurostat’s database. A longer response time should be envisaged for complex queries, especially when contributions from national statistical institutes are necessary.
