Informationen für Statistiker
Der Ausbruch von COVID-19 hat die Fähigkeit der statistischen Behörden beeinträchtigt, Daten auf herkömmliche Weise zu erheben und zu verarbeiten. Persönliche Befragungen werden durch telefonische und webbasierte Umfragen ersetzt. Die für die Erstellung von Inflationsstatistiken erforderlichen Preisbeobachtungen sind einerseits schwieriger zu erheben und andererseits für viele Waren und Dienstleistungen gar nicht vorhanden. Die Zahl der Beschäftigten sinkt aufgrund von Krankheit und familiären Verpflichtungen und die ausgiebige Nutzung von Telearbeit stellt Anforderungen an die technische Infrastruktur.
Eurostat und die nationalen statistischen Ämter haben gemeinsam an der Entwicklung von Leitlinien gearbeitet, um die durch diese Änderungen entstandenen methodischen Probleme zu lösen. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass die europäischen Statistiken weiterhin auf einer soliden Grundlage beruhen. Wir haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt, uns auf Lösungen zu konzentrieren und nicht nur den amtlichen Statistikern in der EU und den EFTA-Ländern, sondern auch weltweit direkt zu helfen.
