PES career transition management

Career transition management is based on the principle of empowerment and involves equipping jobseekers and job changers with the knowledge and skills to make informed career transitions and take control of their career paths. This can be supported through skills profiling and various off- and online tools. Bridging career transitions also involves employers who may need support in preparing skills-based and ‘attractive’ vacancies and developing human resource measures.

In some countries, PES offer a one-stop-shop for careers counselling and guidance to individuals at all different stages of their career. In others, they cooperate with other organisations to deliver these services, e.g. organisations in the education and training field and career guidance specialists.
