According to the PES Network Strategy, PES have a ‘conductor’ role in promoting and managing partnerships between a wide range of labour market actors in order to improve the functioning of the labour market and thereby facilitate the multiple transitions that people make throughout their working lives. Their conductor role involves anticipating and analysing labour market needs, making connections between these needs and the service offers of different actors, as well as stimulating innovation and collaboration between different organisations. The types of actors that PES work with is increasingly diverse, including social partners, private employment services, education and training providers, non-governmental organisations, municipalities and other public bodies. The Decision on enhanced cooperation between PES stresses the importance of PES partnership working. The PES Network is actively engaging in the cooperation with key labour market actors.
