EIT Thematic Seminars

PAST SEMINARS ...

A clear vision on the focus of the future KICs is essential for the lasting success of the entire EIT initiative, and for boosting Europe's innovation capacity in a sustainable way. Thus, following on from the success of the first EIT seminar, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has decided to hold a series of seminars in 2009, addressing either one of the KIC themes (the Future information and communication society, Climate change adaptation and mitigation and Sustainable energy) or topics of importance to the EIT(Entrepreneurship, KIC Info Day).

• - What is the aim of the thematic seminars?
• The aim of the three seminars is to discuss the themes identified for the first KICs, notably the focus of these themes as well as synergies with the other two themes. The EIT Governing Board believes that engaging potential stakeholders in an open dialogue is crucial to the success of the initiative and is looking forward to more fruitful discussions during these seminars.
• - Who should attend?
• As always, the EIT would like its seminars to represent all potential stakeholders in a balanced manner and intends to invite multipliers who represent excellence in business, entrepreneurship, research and higher education and have a solid interest in actively contributing to the shaping of the KICs. In order to maximise the outcomes of the seminars, the maximum number of participants able to take part in each seminar will be 150. Participation should therefore be limited to one representative per organization.
• - How to register for a seminar?
