"Un consumator din doi regretă faptul că produsele locale sunt greu de găsit și dificil de diferențiat de celelalte produse. Pe de altă parte, lipsesc structurile, iar prejudecățile legate de acest mod de comercializare se fac încă puternic simțite în anumite medii politice și economice", a declarat comisarul european pentru agricultură şi dezvoltare rurală, Dacian Cioloş, în deshiderea conferinţei "Agricultură şi pieţe locale" la Bruxelles, pe 20 aprilie 2012.

Launching of the High Level Group on wine

The High Level Group on wine met for the first time today, bringing together senior officials from Member States, representatives of the sector, observers of the European Parliament and Croatia.
Initiated by European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Dacian Cioloş, the Group will hold four meetings to analyse all aspects of wine planting rights, in response to calls from parts of the wine sector in some Member States not to abolish the wine planting rights system.

In his address to the conference "Sowing the Seeds to harvest in Future : Supporting Young People into Farming", the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dacian Cioloş insisted on the need to strengthen the support measures for young farmers in the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013.
