The European Labour Authority

The European Labour Authority

Labour mobility in Europe continues to increase, with over 17 million EU citizens now working in another Member State. It is essential that workers and employers are able to benefit from the EU’s single market fairly and know where to find information on their rights and obligations. The EU has therefore established the European Labour Authority, a new body that will focus on cross-border labour mobility. This compact leaflet provides a quick overview of the Authority, explaining why it has been set up, what its main objectives are, and how it will work to achieve these objectives.
