The European Commission has developed the new European Digital Credentials for Learning.

Digital diplomas and certificates do not get lost or damaged, they are harder to forge and can be shared across borders at the push of a button.

• But how do we know that a diploma is trustworthy?
• And how can learning institutions across Europe issue diplomas and other learning certificates in a format which is easy to generate and simple to read and verify at its destination?

That is what we have been working on at European level.

The European Commission has developed the new European Digital Credentials for Learning. Recipients of European Digital Credentials for Learning can automatically verify information such as the identity of the awarding body or the quality assurance of a qualification. European Digital Credentials for Learning have authenticity across the EU and are equivalent to paper-based credentials containing the same information.

European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, will open the launch event, followed by testimonials & live presentations from users and vendors of the European Digital Credentials for Learning.
