The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Founded in 2007, Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University has been developing rapidly to become one of the leading universities in the central part of Turkey providing education for more than 23.000 students. The University is carrying out its activities on 6 different campuses with 9 faculties, 9 vocational colleges, 2 colleges, 4 institutes and 13 research and application centres.There are approximately 3,300 students studying in its vocational colleges, who follow compulsory work-based learning or an apprenticeship of at least 30 working days. Students follow a two-year programme and receive an associate degree from one of the 34 departments of the university. The University works in cooperation with more than 70 universities around Europe through the Erasmus+ Programme and has established 201 bilateral agreements at both national and international level. The University has also started to implement pilot projects or structural reform on apprenticeships.
