Description of the Organisation:
PIMEC is the employer organisation that represents small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed in Catalonia. PIMEC represents half a million SMEs and half a million self-employed in Catalonia. PIMEC is member of the EU SME umbrella organisation, SMEunited. We participate in over 300 boards and work with the public administrations and the most representative social partners (trade unions and employer organizations) and take an active role in training and employment policies to be designed as an engine to foster the development of SMEs, the main business sector of Catalonia, as they account for over 99.8% of all enterprises and 70% of jobs in our country. About our work and activities, PIMEC is working on employment policies, training, insertion, advice and prospecting from companies. As a social partner, we have the commitment to promote a qualitative dual VET in Catalonia. We also participated in Erasmus + projects aiming to boost VET system and apprenticeships.
