The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:The Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC) is an autonomous organisation depending on the Generalitat de Catalunya regulated by law 13/2015. SOC is in charge of employment policies, including VET programs, and its main goals are promoting decent jobs, fighting unemployment and fostering employability. SOC has some specific tasks and activities that are very relevant with reference to apprenticeships: counselling services, VET programs, setting out active labour market policies (including apprenticeship programs), mobility programs, as well as supporting and advising enterprises. Moreover, SOC also deals with Youth Guarantee programs and other VET initiatives that give a main role to work-based learning.
