Description of the Organisation:
UNISER is a social co-operative established in 1998 providing learning mobility services aimed at increasing the quality of vocational education and training provision in Europe. Uniser designs, develops and implements mobility actions in cooperation with VET providers, the cooperative delivers incoming and outgoing work-based learning experiences abroad to roughly 1500 learners every year and supports almost 200 VET schools around Europe (upper secondary schools and VET centres) to plan and implement their mobility activities in all the phases of the project cycle. One of Uniser's ambitions is to be at the forefront of learning mobility in Europe. For this reason, the co-operative has an internal Research and Development unit which is geared towards the development of innovative tools and methodologies in the VET field. In recent years R&D projects have been implemented with the collaboration of partners from all over Europe aimed at: facilitating the recognition and validation of competences gained through non formal/informal learning; raising the attractiveness of IVET through games and gamification processes, providing VET schools with tools that facilitate their participation in mobility. Uniser is the founding member of "IMove", a European network established in 2016 focused on the definition of quality standards for VET consortia. IMove sees the participation of mobility providers and other components of the system, such as VET providers, local authorities and business actors.
