Description of the Organisation:
The LABOUR FOUNDATION FOR CONSTRUCTION is a non for profit entity founded at the end of 1992 within the framework of the General Agreement of the Construction Sector, when its creation and organization were established at a state level with the aim to professionalize and dignify the different trades of the construction sector. It is comprised of the most representative organizations of the construction sector in Spain, such as the National Federation of Construction (CNC, businesspeople), Metal, Construction and Related Sectors, Industry Federation of the Union General de Trabajadores (MCA-UGT, Trade Union) and the Comisiones Obreras of Construction and Services. (CC.OO., Trade Union). Hence, it is an entity specializing in construction activities and its main aim is to empower and specialize workers, as well as to contribute to their labour integration and professional development. The most important aims of FLC are: the promotion of vocational education and training (VET), the promotion of R&D of measures to improve health and safety in the building site, the romotion of measures to improve the labour market and create and facilitate a professional accreditation card (TPC).
