Artificial Intelligence is often perceived as a futuristic technology that would allow for innovations such as self-driving cars, processing natural languages or facial recognition.

As a result of its fast adoption in many areas of life, entire industries are trying to figure out how to incorporate it in their operations while adding value to their businesses. Microfinance is one of the industries where digitalisation has become increasingly important, even more due to the pandemic.

Many microfinance institutions struggle with the additional challenge of not losing sight of their social mission along their digital journey.

This EaSI Technical Assistance webinar will give insights into what AI is and how it could be utilised in the microfinance context. It will show how AI offers the availability of cost effective calculations and data treatment opening new possibilities for MFIs.

Finally, the audience will learn of the economics of AI for financial inclusion: how to use data and AI to deliver better products, and deepen MFIs’ outreach.

The webinar is financed under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) and participation is free of charge.
