The phenomenon of posting of workers has grown strongly in the European Union (EU) over the past decade. This situation, in which an employer temporarily sends its employees to another country to provide a service there for a certain period, is highly prevalent in certain sectors of activity. It also comes with specific challenges as the worker works – temporarily –in a country different from the country where he or she is employed and in so far also registered. Therefore a good monitoring of the number of posted workers and their characteristics are of utmost importance. This report provides an overview of the destination countries of posted workers as reported in the prior declaration tools.
