Poverty risk and income inequality for older people in a long-term perspective
The 2015 and 2018 Pension Adequacy reports included the results of two studies on simulations of the possible developments of pension adequacy in Belgium, Hungary and Sweden and in Belgium, Italy and Sweden, respectively. This paper builds on this experience and provides microsimulation analyses of the potential impacts of the demographic and macroeconomic assumptions underlined in the 2021 Ageing Report on poverty and inequalities among older people in Belgium, Hungary and Italy.
