Are you considering making a pledge to the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) but not sure where to start? Plan ahead

The new pledge form makes the process of completing your pledge easy and straightforward, and planning ahead will ensure that the pledge creation process is even smoother. Before starting, consider the name of your pledge, the objectives it relates to, and what you hope to gain from your EAfA membership.

You can apply either as an individual organisation or as part of a larger partnership. If you would like to work on the form collaboratively with your colleagues, you can share the PDF questionnaire.

For any queries or additional support, you can contact us at EAfAmembers@ecorys.com and we will be happy to clarify this process and assist you.

Choose your objectives

Your pledge should demonstrate a concrete commitment to strengthening apprenticeships in line with one or more of the EAfA objectives:

  • increasing the supply of apprenticeships;
  • improving the quality of apprenticeships;
  • enhancing the image of apprenticeships;
  • facilitating the mobility of apprentices;
  • supporting the twin green and digital transitions.

It is up to your organisation how many objectives you subscribe to. For each selected EAfA objective, you can choose one or more activities from a list of pre-defined actions, as well as related key performance indicators (KPIs). You can also include new, not-listed activities and provide more detail in the free-text boxes.

See the full list of activities and related KPIs for each objective.

Note that if you select the objective of increasing the supply of apprenticeships, there is one compulsory KPI (number of apprenticeship places created).

Keep it short and simple

Ensure that your pledge is clear and concise. Keeping your information within the character limits will ensure that your pledge is easily understandable to stakeholders and will speed up the process of completing the form.

Once approved, your pledge will be published on the EAfA website, so that parties interested in collaboration can reach out to you.
