The initiatives have been selected with a view to implementing the Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills framework.

On 31 July 2020 the results of the selection procedure for projects implementing the blueprint for sectoral cooperation on skills were published.

From 21 applications 6 blueprint alliances were selected and each will receive up to € 4 million over a project duration of 4 years. The six newly-selected projects involve 152 partner organisations from 24 Member States and 1 other country participating in the Erasmus+ programme.

The idea of skilling for a job is central to blueprint alliances. Working together in sector-specific partnerships, these alliances will develop and implement European sector-wide strategies and vocational training solutions to address skills gaps in the following six sectors: 

• block chain
• cultural heritage
• cybersecurity
• rail supply and transport industries
• work integration social enterprises
• software services

The projects will start either at the end of 2020 or at the beginning of 2021.
