This upgrade consisted (among others) of the following improvements:

  • The translation of user manuals into other EU languages (except Gaelic) which can be downloaded from the homepage after selecting the preferred language in the upper right corner.
  • The possibility of adding the issuing organisation in the organisation section.
  • The inclusion of competence cards by Bertelsmann Stiftung in the other basic and transversal skills section to make the tool more practical and user friendly.

Webinar

To explain the new (and existing) features, the European Commission will organize a  webinar on Thursday 5 April at 3 pm CET.

The webinar will focus on specific needs in using the tool for different groups of users (like asylum centres, public employment services or guidance centres). There will be also the possibility to give feedback about the tool.

The webinar will be in English. If you are interested in following it, please send an email to EMPL-E2-SKILLS-PROFILETOOL@ec.europa.eu.

Context

The EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals has been developed by the European Commission to support early identification of the skills of refugees, migrants and other third country nationals in order to facilitate integration into the labour market and wider society.

It is intended for use by any organisation or service that may be offering assistance to third country nationals and aims to get to know individuals, their skills and experiences and provide recommendations on next steps.
