Petra Ivšić works as a journalist, mostly on fixed term contracts. She likes her job but due to the working arrangements in the media sector she cannot build up sufficient social protection rights e.g. to get an adequate pension at old age. Petra believes that we all should be protected by social security, regardless of the form of employment, as stated in Council Recommendation on access to social protection for workers and the self-employed.
