Toulouse (France) took the third prize. Toulouse is committed to improving the life of its disabled citizens, be it in the field of transport where the metro, trams and buses are 100% accessible or in the cultural sector where operas are performed with audio-description and programmes are available in large print or braille. The José-Cabanis multimedia library has facilities for the visually-impaired as well as a collection of 1,600 braille books and newspapers. Toulouse is a member of the “Friendly Cities for the Elderly” group and since 2012 has taken part in the international network “Design for All”. Video script (pdf - 180 KB)
