The Access City Award is the european prize for making cities more accessible to people with disabilities and older people. Helsinki (Finland) took the second prize of the Access City Award 2015: Helsinki presents a major challenge on accessibility also in winter conditions. For example, it has invested in harder tactile paving for the visually impaired so that the paving stones don’t break when snow is being cleared'.
