The European Union is offering this webinar to representatives from microfinance institutions (MFI) interested in strengthening their skills to successfully manage remote and scattered teams, while working online. The webinar will take place on 3 December.

This session is part of the webinar series “Leaders in a digital era” aiming to equip microfinance institutions with the necessary skills and understanding of tools to effectively lead a team online and conduct successful digital meetings and trainings.

Emotionally intelligent leadership is fundamentally about facilitating performance and getting your team or co-workers to do their best in an effective and efficient manner, recognising a direct link between the way people feel and the way they perform.

During this session, the participants will be introduced to the Genos model of the six emotionally intelligent competencies of a leader and explore techniques for developing self-awareness and better recognition of others’ emotions. Participants will also learn how to facilitate online meetings and discussions with their teams, in order to read and address the emotions of team members, despite the lack of face-to-face contact. Finally, the webinar will offer other techniques for stimulating high performance in the team.

The webinar is funded by the EU programme of Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) and participation is free of charge.

As a consultant she works with international clients from diverse industries by providing strategic and tactical aid in all aspects of project management, including selecting and securing optimal EU assistance programme, employee training and development.
