Interoperability Quick Assessment Toolkit (IQAT)

IQAT

A toolkit to assess the potential interoperability of software solutions supporting public services

When is this solution for you?

You work in a public administration and you want to assess the potential interoperability of your software solutions supporting public services.

What can we offer you?

The Interoperability Quick Assessment Toolkit (IQAT) is an Excel tool that allows solution owners to quickly assess the potential interoperability of their software solutions supporting public services.

The toolkit is fully compliant with the 2017 version of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) recommendations.

The IQAT can be used to assess and calculate the potential interoperability score of software solutions looking at four interoperability areas: Interoperability governance, Software architecture, Machine-to-Machine interfaces and Human-to-Machine interfaces.

The expected benefits of the IQAT© are as follows:

  • It identifies areas for improving the interoperability in a given solution;
  • It supports portfolio management decisions;
  • It saves time and resources in interoperability peer-to-peer tests by acting as a gateway to it.
