Nearly 1,000 attendees trained in data visualisation by the Publications Office with support of ISA²

In total, 959 participants attended the data visualisation training programme organised by the Publications Office of the European Union under the ISA² Programme. It took place from March to October 2019.

The programme was of particular interest to professionals in the public sector dealing with data visualisation as part of their job. In the programme, they learned new ways to improve their data visualisations skills for effective data presentation and communication.  

Participants came from 5 EU institutions, 15 EU agencies and 7 EU bodies. The following visual shows where attendees came from:

The training programme included 5 training modules with 12 sessions and 3 workshop modules with 5 sessions in Luxembourg and Brussels. The training programme covered key topics in data visualisation: 

• Best practices in data visualisation
• Data quality
• Data analysis and exploration
• Data storytelling
• Non-standard data visualisation
• Data visualisation with D3.js
• Making data visualisation without coding
• Applying data visualisation in use cases

We also hold 4 online webinar sessions with participants from 19 public administrations from 13 Member States, as shown on the map below:
