As of 24 September 2018, a week dedicated to eGovernment is being organised under the umbrella of the Austrian presidency of the Council of the European Union. The ISA² Programme will participate in two events in Vienna, Austria: the High Level Conference on Digital & e-Government and the Once-Only Principle for Europe Conference.
On 26 September, the High Level Conference on Digital and e-Government will gather ministers of European countries, governmental experts on digital policy and representatives of EU institutions.
After the initial plenary, six parallel sessions will present policy actions on principles of the Tallinn Declaration on e-Government signed by EU ministers on 6 October 2017.
One of the sessions will cover Interoperability by default. Natalia Aristimuño Pérez, Head of Interoperability Unit at DG Informatics, European Commission, will open the session with a presentation on the European Interoperability Framework and its implementation.
In the session on Horizontal enabling policy steps, Director for the Digital Services of DG Informatics at the European Commission, Emanuele Baldacci, will talk about reusable solutions for digital public administrations.
The parallel sessions will be followed by a speech of Gertrud Ingestad, Director-General of DG Informatics. She will speak about the digital transformation in the European Commission, including next steps.
The ISA² Programme will also have a booth during the conference.
The event will take place on 24 and 25 September 2018. It will be the second joint Once-Only Conference, hosted by two projects: TOOP and SCOOP4C. The event will present the most recent achievements by both projects, focusing on once-only principle solutions.
On Tuesday, 25 September, Natalia Aristimuño Pérez, Head of Interoperability Unit at DG Informatics, European Commission, will join the panel discussion on the “Impact of the Once-Only Principle on End users and public administration in the EU”. The panel will start at 11:35.

eGov Week
On 29 September eIDAS, the regulation for mutual recognition of eIDs between the EU countries will come into force and on this occasion the week starting on 24 September will be dedicated to eGovernment. A series of events on this topic will take place in Vienna, Brussels and other European cities.
