ISA² - Interoperability solutions for public administrations, businesses and citizens

The European Labour Authority (ELA) is now connected to TESTA

The European Labour Authority (ELA), the new European inspection and enforcement decentralised agency focusing on fair labour mobility is now connected to TESTA.

ELA will assist national authorities in EU Member States to help ensure that EU rules on labour mobility and social security coordination are enforced in a fair and effective way and makes it easier for citizens and businesses to reap the benefits of the internal market.

TESTA will contribute to the mission of ELA which is to:

- facilitate access for individuals and employers to information on their rights and obligations as well as to relevant services;
- support cooperation between EU countries in the cross-border enforcement of relevant Union law, including facilitating joint inspections; and
- mediate and facilitate a solution in cases of cross-border disputes between national authorities.

TESTA is the European backbone common communication infrastructure for data exchange between a wide variety of public administrations. It provides guaranteed performance and a high level of security and interoperability. The network is used by EU institutions and agencies, as well as EU countries and organizations acting on their behalf.

ELA is expected to reach its full operational capacity by 2024.

Further details on ELA can be found here.
