ELISE action: new version of EULF blueprint and the INSPIRE reference validator

Our ELISE action has released a new version of the online EULF Blueprint and the INSPIRE reference validator.

New online version of the EULF Blueprint
The EULF Blueprint is a unique framework of recommendations and related guidance for publishing and using location information and applying interoperability principles in digital government. There are five focus areas in the framework: policy and strategy alignment, digital government integration, standardisation and reuse, return on investment, and governance, partnerships and capabilities. ELISE published the European Union Location Framework (EULF) Blueprint v4 in September 2020. We are now pleased to announce the launch of the corresponding EULF Blueprint v4 online content. This replaces the EULF Blueprint v3 online content, which will be withdrawn from Joinup the end of February. For more information visit Joinup.

New version of the INSPIRE Reference Validator
The INSPIRE Reference Validator solution, one of the tools provided by ELISE and included in the EIF Toolbox, is a tool used by EU Member States data providers to validate their resources (metadata, data sets and services) against the requirements set by the INSPIRE Directive. It is also a key tool for INSPIRE coordinators, both at the national and European level, to monitor the progress of INSPIRE implementation, and for software providers to make sure their solutions are aligned with INSPIRE requirements. Recently the new version of the tool has been released introducing new tests for INSPIRE Data Specifications for Annex II/III themes, which complement those already existing. For more information visit Joinup.

ELISE supports the improvement of Spatial skills
New modules launched in the INSPIRE training platform which with 1475 users (as of 09/02/2021), has been conceived to support managers, public servants and technicians in the understanding and implementing the INSPIRE Directive. The scope of the work, under the ELISE action, has been the update of the INSPIRE training platform content and the establishment of a strategy for the future exploitation of both the technical infrastructure and the training materials. For more information visit Joinup.
