Don't miss our session: How can regions boost digital services?
Wed, 14 October 2020, 09:30 - 11:00

The consequences of COVID-19 demonstrated that digital public services are equally if not more important than their physical counterparts for the smooth functioning of our everyday lives. Such situations highlight the existing need for public administrations to provide seamless digital services. Smaller administrations face challenges in design and delivery of services due to limited resources or know-how. Our experience shows that there is often lack of awareness about the existing collaborative networks and available reusable tools that can aid in this process.

This workshop will focus on shedding light on some of the best practices and available resources for the design and delivery of digital public services. First, participants will be presented with tailored packages of public open source digital solutions and tools, which can be reused by any city or region in Europe and beyond. Secondly, a representative of a European region will then share their experience and disseminate some best practices. Finally, participants will get a chance to brainstorm about the type of support they need when delivering digital services and collaborating with their citizens.
