Assessment of countries' practices
The PPP regulation requires Eurostat to assess each EU countries' compliance with the PPP regulation and general PPP practices at least once every 6 years and to publish the results of these assessments online.
Every year, EU members are obliged to prepare so-called ‘PPP inventories’ with detailed descriptions of the data sources and methods used in producing the required PPP data. These inventories are the primary basis for the compliance assessments, together with information gathered during meetings with the respective national statistical institutes.
The most recent assessment report for each Member State can be accessed below. The reports were agreed upon with the respective Member States and contain a list of action points. Eurostat monitors the status of each action point on an annual basis.
