Tourism Satellite Accounts in the European Union - Volume 1 - Products Statistical working papers

Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) provide an economic measure of the importance of tourism in terms of expenditures, GDP and employment for a given country. In 2008-2009, Eurostat ran a project assessing the work done in the EU in the field of TSA and fostering the further implementation and harmonisation of TSA compilation. The key deliverables of the project are published in a set of 4 volumes in the Eurostat series "Methodologies and Working Papers" under the heading Tourism Satellite Accounts in the European Union. This first volume contains a stock-taking of the state of implementation and the compliance with the international recommendations on TSA compilation for each of the Member States of the EU.
