Non-financial assets
Eurostat receives regular transmissions of data on gross fixed capital formation with breakdowns by assets at quarterly and annual frequency within the framework of national accounts.
These are complemented by detailed annual cross-classifications by industries for gross fixed capital formation, associated capital stocks, and balance sheets for non-financial assets.
To improve the documentation of associated data sources and compilation methods, Eurostat launched a questionnaire in 2019 to collect information from national compilers. Below you can access the summary of the information received which is organised in two groups – gross fixed capital formation and capital stocks.
