Polish farmer uses sprinkler systems to protect his apple orchard from frost damage

Due to the effects of climate change, fruit trees are starting to grow and flower earlier in the year. Spring frosts are therefore dangerous. In the Grójec area of Poland, Piotr Domasiewicz started using sprinkler systems for frost protection a few years ago. Piotr finds the system highly effective and it has proved economically very beneficial “I would definitely recommend this to other fruit farmers. If your farm is in an area prone to Spring frost, it’s worth considering.”
