Agroforestry: a win-win for nature and the farmer

Strong winds, sandy soil and low rainfall made German farmer Thomas Domin’s fields vulnerable for wind erosion. He found a solution in agroforestry. Herewith providing climate and soil solutions and extra profits, Thomas explains: “The poplar trees are harvested as ‘energy crops’ and we now sell high quality round wood.”
