The purpose of this event is to raise the profile on the problem of the actual and potential capability for women farmers and rural women entrepreneurs to contribute to the Green Deal. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing us today. Political initiatives, such as the Green Deal, the European Climate Law, and the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies, pave the way for the EU’s ambition to become climate resilient by 2050.

The discussion will focus on the existing problems, potential opportunities, and specific measures - including policies and programs - that need to be taken now to allow rural women entrepreneurs and women farmers to fully participate in the green transition, thereby ensuring the success of the Green Deal.

EIP-AGRI Support Facility's Willemine Brinkman, deputy teamleader, will join thte panel discussion on the actions to support women-led entrepreneurship & innovation in rural areas.
