Systems approaches to support agro-ecological transitions in the agri-food system

The DiverIMPACTS final conference will highlight how systems approaches implemented in the project can support the agro-ecological transition of agri-food systems and potential paths forward. 

In particular, the conference will:

• Share global evidence of the added value and dynamic nature of crop diversification pathways;
• Explore how far we must go in interconnecting different diversification strategies, in time and space, to enhance Ecosystem Services delivery;
• Highlight ways co-developed with case study actors to overcome barriers to crop diversification all along the value chain;
• Present tools and their benefits to support actors’ decision making towards cropping system diversification while taking into account local soil-climate but also socio-economic conditions;
• Explore how policy can support crop diversification;
• Illustrate how to produce actionable knowledge through multi-actor research and system approaches.
• Pave the way to build on the DiverIMPACTS’ project legacy to go one step further in the agro-ecological transition of agri-food systems.
