Commissioner Damanaki receives Peter Benchley Ocean Awards
Commissioner Damanaki was distinguished on Friday May 30 by the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards for her commitment to the protection of coasts and oceans and her pledge to restore sustainability in our seas.
Commissioner was unable to attend the Awarding ceremony but addressed the honourees and the jury by enhancing the "need to stand shoulder to shoulder to address the tremendous challenges that our oceans and seas are still facing".
