Smoked sheep's cheese to get TSG status after Slovak request

The European Commission today decided to add the name of a traditional smoked mountain sheep cheese "Ovčí salašnícky údený syr" to the list of "traditional specialities guaranteed" (TSG) following an application from Slovakia.

Der Verwaltungsausschuss für die gemeinsame Organisation der Agrarmärkte hat über die Nahrungsmittelhilfeprogramme abgestimmt, die die Mitgliedstaaten im Rahmen des Programms für bedürftige Bevölkerungsgruppen für 2011 vorgelegt hatten. Im nächsten Jahr machen 20 Mitgliedstaaten von dieser Regelung Gebrauch – darunter auch zum ersten Mal die Tschechische Republik.
