The continuing arrival of refugees in Europe is an unprecedented challenge for many Member States and calls for solidarity across the European Union. 

EU President Juncker has identified the refugee crisis as the immediate priority of action in the European Union. Healthcare must continue to be part of the global response and the health needs of the refugees, especially the most vulnerable amongst them, must be met.

 The Commission has mobilised resources and stands ready to support the reception and healthcare systems of Member States under particular pressure to provide services, including he [...]

Due to the large influx of migrants, Minister of Health Sinisa Varga adopted a Decision to declare that health care institutions in the areas that are most affected by this event should be in a state of readiness.

Title Transposition of Anti-tobacco Directive  [Italy]  »

Directive 2014/40/UE has been transposed by the Italian Government and will enter into force by the end of 2015. Among other measures, it establishes a ban on smoking in the car when children and pregnant women are present.
