Access for non-working Union citizens to social and health benefits and social security for live-ins (home care workers) in Germany

The EC-funded MoveS network (Free Movement and Social Security Coordination) will organise a seminar in Berlin, Germany on 14 June 2024.

The seminar is being organised by MoveS in collaboration with its German national expert on Free Movement of Workers, Ferdinand Wollenschläger and the Equal Treatment Body for EU Employees in Germany.

MoveS is an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries coordinated by Eftheia and Deloitte.

The morning session will be devoted to the topic of access to social and health benefits for non-working Union citizens, including the EU legal framework and the national regulatory level. Current case law will be discussed. 

The afternoon session will be dedicated to the home care industry (live-ins). Perspectives from Austria, Germany and the EU Commission will be presented.

Note: The seminar will be in German. No interpretation is foreseen.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge. Please note that all costs connected to the participation in the seminar (travel, accommodation) are at the participants' expense. Admission is subject to availability of seating.
