Here are a few tips for travellers and students.

What if I need a doctor when I am travelling abroad?

With your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) you can receive treatment under the same conditions and at the same cost as for people insured in the country you are visiting. The EHIC is valid in any EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Your national health provider can issue the card for free. Make sure you apply for it before you travel. If you want more information on the EHIC while on the go, download the smartphone app.

The way towards a job

Worried about the next steps after finishing education? Summertime might be a good time to reflect on what to do next.

Through the Youth Guarantee all EU Member States have committed to ensure that young people get a quality offer for a job, apprenticeship, traineeship or continued education within 4 months of leaving education or becoming unemployed.

If you are a public authority in charge of delivering the Youth Guarantee, you can use the toolkit for outreach activities (including visuals, social media applications) to encourage young people to register.
