The survey contains a series of questions about the impact of the Code regarding practices, visibility, reputation, credibility, funding and sustainability of the microfinance sector. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Two separate surveys were designed for representatives of microfinance institutions and other stakeholders and experts with experience with the Code:

  • Microfinance institution surveyThis survey is designed for representatives of microfinance and microcredit providers in Europe. It focuses on the impact of the Code on their practice.
  • Stakeholder survey: This survey is for stakeholders and experts working with, overseeing, funding or partnering with microfinance institutions. This can include EU institutions, national regulators and government departments, and funders and investors.

Representatives of banks can fill in the microfinance institution or the stakeholder survey depending on which they think is most appropriate for them.

The deadline for responding to the surveys is Friday, 15 January 2021.

Your responses will be treated confidentially and anonymously and they will not be used in a manner that will allow identification of your individual responses.

If you have any questions or comments about the survey, please contact Dr Pål Vik at the University of Salford.
