The third and final workshop of the Latvian PES Mutual Assistance Project (MAP) overviewed and exchanged on the latest developments and proposals around the Latvian reform plans, covering the staff empowerment and autonomy, quality and customer orientation, and internal communication thematic strands.

Participants from the Latvian PES and their peer PES – the Belgian VDAB, Austrian AMS, and Estonian Töötukassa – identified priority actions, timeline, success criteria and detailed implementation of each strand. Ultimately, participants discussed a draft outline for implementing a quality programme, including reform priorities, implementation plan, concrete measures and evaluation approach,

The Latvian PES and its peers agreed on the kind of support that is needed to take reforms forward, with cooperation between them set to continue following the conclusion of the MAP.
