International agreements

International agreements or GFAs (Global Framework Agreements) are negotiated agreements between multinational enterprises (MNEs) and global union federations representing workers at the global level by sector of activity. GFAs aim at jointly promoting and monitoring fundamental labour standards across the worldwide operations of MNEs, in particular in the areas of freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, but also of good labour relations and decent conditions of work.
