Glossary:Stocks of foreign direct investment (FDI)
Stocks of foreign direct investment refer to the value of the investment at a specific point in time (such as the end of a year). FDI stocks are recorded in the internal investment position: outward FDI stocks are listed as assets of the reporting economy, inward FDI stocks as liabilities (similar to flows).
