The second issue in 2003 assesses the current economic situation in the euro area, analysing in particular recent developments in the services sector and the adjustment of the labour market in the current period of slow growth. The report also contains two analytical chapters, including a mid-year review of fiscal policy in the euro area and an analysis of recent developments in the euro exchange rate.
